'Mojo' in Edinburgh

A third-year student at St Anne’s College, Oxford, Stephen is a prolific lighting designer and Edinburgh Fringe veteran. Mojo will be his eighth show at the Festival, following productions including The Master and Margarita (C soco 2A, 2010), A Clockwork Orange (C+1, 2009) and The Oxford Revue is Going Places (Underbelly Iron Belly, 2010).

Stephen’s lighting designs have attracted comments ranging from “a hugely energetic spectacle” (The Wall Street Journal, for The Master and Margarita), to “a top-ten for the Fringe this year” (The Sunday Times, for A Clockwork Orange), and, with the Oxford Revue, “the fresh face of British comedy” (The Times); The Master and Margarita received a design commendation in the National Student Drama Festival.

In Oxford, Stephen has worked in the 600-seater Oxford Playhouse (The Madness of George III, October 2009, Call of the Wild, May 2011); and on the first amateur performance of Spring Awakening (February 2011, O’Reilly Theatre, Oxford).
